An accomplished healthcare executive, strategist, and thought leader with over 30 years of experience driving health sector transformation across Africa and Asia. With a proven track record as CEO of multiple hospitals, senior advisor to NGOs, and leader in multinational pharmaceutical companies, he brings a rare blend of clinical insight, operational expertise, and business acumen.
He holds an MSc, an MBA, and an Honorary Doctorate (PhD), and has consistently applied this multidisciplinary foundation to design and scale impactful healthcare models that improve access, efficiency, and quality of care, especially in underserved communities.

Kakali Das Roychoudhury is a healthcare executive with 30 years of experience in pharma and medical devices across East Africa and India. As Category Manager at Harley’s Ltd. Nairobi, she drives growth and partnerships across the region. A former Pfizer India leader and the company’s first female Regional Business Manager, she is known for strategic vision, operational excellence, and a passion for innovation and training.

Regional Growth & Technology Integration
Expanded to 350 beds with advanced diagnostics, specialty hospitals in Eldoret and Nakuru, and satellite clinics across East Africa. Launched IVF centers in 4 cities, a JV diagnostic center in Kigali, and integrated HMIS, ERP, and pathology networks to strengthen operations and healthcare delivery.
Pioneering Diagnostics in East Africa
Launched a $15M diagnostic hub in 2012 with advanced radiology and pathology, expanding rapidly across Kenya and into Tanzania, Uganda, and Zambia. Achieved KSh. 160M revenue in 8 months, established 14 satellite clinics, and introduced stem cell banking.
Global Pharmaceutical Leadership & Market Expansion
Led international tender development for Sandoz’s Global TB portfolio, driving $14M in sales and reviving the Sri Lanka market. Spearheaded India restructuring, EU/WHO site transfers, and pediatric TB portfolio development. Completed leadership programs at Novartis and IIM Lucknow.
